Joy, you may want to borrow the movie sometimes then.

Yes, I read about the movie on the back cover, and I'm definitely going to watch it within this week! I'm wondering if I should change my subscription at the library to one which allows me to borrow movies as well, given the number of films on my "to-watch" list!Big Smile [:D]

In fact, Meryl Streep is probably my favourite actress ever.

Oh.. today gonna watch Casablanca and then Dr. Zhivago.

Essentialism or existentialism?

I am reading the book "Interpretation of Dreams" recently, written by Freud, a famous psychologist.

It seems very difficult for me to read this book, because it is an English version.

I  like both English and psychology, so this book is a perfect combination for me.

I have just read "Angels and Demons" novel by Dan Brown , who is also the author of the intrernational best selling novel "The Davinci Code"

I really liked the novel, Dan Brown is a very clever writer. It had been difficult to predict what was going to happen in the following chapters, and I think the end was unexpectable.

Currently I am reading a book titled "Sultan of Arabia: A private life" The authors (2 of them) usually use difficult English, it is obvious as they are British. However the book is quite interesting.

Hello all my friends ,

Do you also sometimes read a couple of books at the same time? Some people say it is not a healthy habit and harmful for memory... I don't see why..Thinking [*-)] Do you have any idea? Anyway, it is too difficult to resist the lure of the bookshops and easiness of online shopping...and when you want a bit of everything, what else to do other than reading all you bought, right? Big Smile [:D]

I am reading 3 books now; The novel I would like to mention here is "The Roots of Heaven" or in original "Les Racines du Ciel", by Romain Gary...I have read only about 60 pages, but I should say very smooth writing, hard to leave it aside...Has anybody read anything by him? I would love to hear your opinions...

see you,

Nile

Hi Jewel,

Yes, sometimes it is possible to read or more books at the same time. But one of them will eventually beat the other. You know, the book which suits your taste, style and all that.....I do not think it will harm your memory in anyway, I mean we study more than one subject for exams. Reading is far more relaxing than studying, isn't it?

So keep up the good work.Wink [;)]. I'm reading 'The Honourable School Boy'  by John Le Carr and 'Reflex' by *** Francis. It seems like 'Reflex' will beat the 'School Boy' to the finish. Big Smile [:D]

Adomi, you've said before you like Christie. Who do you prefer - M. Poirot, or Miss Marple? (Miss Marple for me). Who else were her regulars? I haven't read much by her. But I did read her non-fiction account of her season in Egypt. Her husband was an archeologist. It's called either "Come Tell Me How You Live" or "Come Show Me How You Live" (can't remember which) and I enjoyed it completely!!

I'm not one of the talented ones, nor am I the nice one, the friendly one, or the fun one. I'm the mean one. Deal with it.
