Hello and thank you for reading this post and for any help you provide. Everyone listen, you may or may not have noticed but TCPs chat is beyond slow, I have found that It goes dead quiete often lately. Four months ago I could come on and chat all night long with at least a steady 4-5 (usually about 15) people, now you would be lucky if you talk to 15 people all night, an 8 hour night. Now I know what your thinking it's an isolated incident; that's what I thought when I first noticed TCP's numbers dwindling, about two and a half months ago. Although it has not improved at all, It has only gotten worse. So I ask you... I ask all of you. What could this mean? and how should we go abouts getting more TCPian's to fall into the TCP addiction?
We could rush into peoples home and force them to use TCP... maybe the summer has got something to do with it.

♪If I could separate me from myself, I'd stay away from me. But if you think I belong, stay and keep me strong, maybe it's not too late.♪

Your observation is true, chatters are dwindling by the day. The same can be said in the Forums, posters are decreasing. I too noticed it few months ago and was the reason I had posted in TCP General Topic my observation about the same titled “What’s missing?”,  because I felt getting in here become less enjoyable. I was puzzled how it happened. It used to be that TCP is a great place to chat and post something. But now it’s different, people shied away in the Chat and Forums.  It’s good thing you brought this out, so some notable members could give their thought on how it could be solved. If I could give my unsolicited and anonymous advice to bring back TCP addiction , I think it would help if some regular members to be friendly to all chatters, be it old members or new ones and  not choose or  pick-out whom you like to chat with.  I’ve noticed that some regular members won’t talk to you if you weren’t not included in their circle regular chatting buddy. Gone are the days when you would find yourself surrounded chatting with warm and friendly people even when strangers to one another, and that’s old TCP is all about. I hope this won’t hurt anyone’s feeling, this is just an observation.

Hey guys!

I don't think it's decreasing in such way. We are all busy.

It's the end of the school year so, all the students in the world or, most of them are snowed under with exams and that might be a reason that TCP isn't so active lately!

And, the Anony above is right, in my opinion.
I’ve noticed that some regular members won’t talk to you if you weren’t not included in their circle regular chatting buddy.

But that's "normal" in some way because you are happier to see a friend of yours usually, am I wrong?

I think you need the opinion of one of the oldest registered member, that is me Wink [;)]

In the 2 years I've been around here I noticed that there are moments in which there are many persons and moments with just a few ... that's life guys, only a few people come here regularly since the day of the start of TCP, I remember that in Jan 2006 I used to chat with persons who never came back in the next months... and of course I missed the most of them!

As regards the "circle regular chatting buddy" I think that this depends on the time you usually chat: I usually chat after 8pm Italy time and I usually find the same persons chatting, I'm sure that people who chat when I sleep do find the same persons as well. The point is that when someone new comes I don't ignore them ... and everyone should do that, because everybody is welcome in TCP!

Anyway I wouldn't worry too much, it's just a moment with few persons! Smile [:)]

Don't worry Bushee, my exams will be over soon and you will be tired of my questions!

Ana is right, people are really busy nowadays.

Ah, you can try what I do sometimes. When I log in, I call girls by writing "Fran, Ana where are u? I missed you! Come here." etc. They see it no matter where they are and they come. Wink [;)]

My summer's boring and I come here often even at my workplace, Bushee. But somehow things get pretty nasty and there are times when we can't comem in here even though we want to. That's the particular situation I'm in right now. I think in order for more people to show up and fill their attendance sheets in, they should be paid for comin' in Big Smile [:D] No, that's just a joke, to be serious, advertising more about this site and letting people talk more about here might be the best idea for this madness you are talking about

No, you're not wrong my dear. But wouldn't it be better and nicer if we could also give few seconds of our time to new friends. This way we can somehow help in solving Bushee's concern about dwindling TCP chatters.

If I could add some adjective to this, I'd say "the oldest and one of the cutest registered member"Smile [:)]

I agree with you on this 100 percent.

Well, I'm not worried, just a little bit concern. Anyway even with those minuses, overall I think TCP is still one the best websites to visit. Cheers.
