I have noticed that many girls dislike each other and I was wondering why there is so much rivalry? I have some female friends that mostly have guy friends becuause they say they don't like girls! That boys are just easier to hang around with. Why don't girls get along? I know there are exeptions but I'm generalizing abit Smile [:)]

Yeah, a little bit of jealousy, with a touch of envy thrown in.
But mostly it's the competition , if you know what I mean Stick out tongue [:P]

It happens to me that I don't like some girls who just talk about foolish things or talk too much about boys...these are the things I dislike the most in girls

Fran I agree, but then again I hang around boys who talk about girls all the time... so I wonder where the difference is.
I just don't understand all the jealousy and dislike between girls. I have those problems myself and had a discussion with someone about it recently actually! What bothers me is when a girl won't understand that I'm not into shopping and spending money on clothes (rather than computer stuff Wink [;)] ), and always want to talk about the latest gossip amongst common friends, and when they just don't accept me for who I am. With guys I guess that's easier because they just don't really care and expect so much from a girl.

Well, from my point of view, boys don't care much about girls, although they are all the time talking about girls in general, those girls are not the ones they love. They just talk about hot girls they have met in a disco or a Saturday night. However, girls talk about boys who they love, even a bit. I am not even sure of what I am saying, I also wonder why there is that much rivality between girls, come on, together we can defeat the boys!Wink [;)]

Its obvious, Opposite poles attract and Same poles repel.

I think when we listen to guys talk about girls, we're getting "insider information" that we can either use, or just enjoy hearing, like getting to see backstage at a show. But when girls talk about boys, they are either 1) talking about guys we don't find at all interesting/attractive, so it's boring, or 2) talking about guys we do find interesting/attractive, so they are competition. Smile [:)]

Also, I have no patience for drama! And some girls love to make everything into a tale "it was soooo important" or "it was the worst thing ever" and... no, it's wasn't, and if you act like it is, I just don't want to hear it.

I really like haning out with other women who have at least enough in common with me that I can emphathize, and who are different enough that I can learn something or get a new perspective. I love my writers group - we are so different, but we have a common bond, and it's great.
