V for Vendetta with Natalie Portman. Plot Outline: "A shadowy freedom fighter known only as "V" uses terrorist tactics to fight against his totalitarian society. Upon rescuing a girl from the secret police, he also finds his best chance at having an ally"

Great movie, I can really recommend it! Crazy how Natalie shaved her beautiful hair off Tongue Tied [:S] Well I guess she got enough money for it ...

For a change I watched a Hindi movie '' Rang de Basanti'' where a British girl comes to India and brings back the patriotism to 5 modernized Indian guys. I guess only Joy and Chunky would know about this movie.

I saw Rang de Basanti in a movie theatre in Zurich. Hindi movies are very popular here and it is available in the public library or any supermarket and sold alongside with the Hollywood movies. The national TV broadcasts dubbed hindi movies every Friday evenings and its popularity can be gathered through the number of advertisements which is aired during a Bollywood film.Cool [H]

In the Bollywood catagory, the "last movie" I watched (that was 2 years ago) was "Baghbaan". How amazing was Amit tab bachan!! Years didn't take away his talent. The first movie of  him that I watch was "Teri Kassam", back there in Cameroon, and I liked it too.

PS. Sorry Chunky, Joy, I know I grated on the names.Embarrassed [:$]

You have done a good job with names. Amit tab could be Amitabh Bachchan.

I watched No man's land on DVD recently. I am sure most of you would have watched this oldie. If not then I would recommend it.

I must be the only Indian who hasn't watched Rang de Basanti yet! Surprise [:O] And me being a fan of Aamir Khan too... Crying [:'(]. Ah well, exam year has its bad bits Tongue Tied [:S]

Adomi, you did quite well with the names! Most Indians can't spell that well, and I'm not kidding!

Planning to watch Brokeback Mountain, and hire a few VCDs... need to catch up on the oldies for my English entrance exams. Nice work, eh? Big Smile [:D]

Essentialism or existentialism?
Frenchbabe  #155100  Sun, 07 May 06 04:54 PM

I just watched Harry Potter's 'Goblet of Fire'... and all I can say is Im totally disappointed. Most of the visuals were too dark to see anything - something I hate in films  and the story was ... no big deal. I'd like to know what the other Potter fans have to say on this one.

I'm gonna watch Brokeback Mountain next week, hope I won't be as disappointed.Wink [;)]
